AllBoards ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the AllBoards mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, as well as information generated automatically when you use the app:

Account data — name, email address, and profile photo when you sign in via Apple, Google, or email.
Usage data — airports you search, flights you track, and features you use, to personalise your experience.
Device data — device model, OS version, and a unique device identifier for push notification delivery.
Location data — only if you explicitly grant permission, to suggest nearby airports.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide and improve the AllBoards service, including real-time flight tracking and notifications.
Sync your favourites, tracked flights, and preferences across your devices via Firebase.
Send push notifications about gate changes, delays, and boarding calls for flights you follow.
Analyse aggregated, anonymised usage patterns to improve app performance and ML delay models.
Respond to support requests and communicate service updates.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your account data and preferences are stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure, which is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not store raw flight data — all live flight information is fetched from third-party aviation data providers and is not retained on our servers.

We implement industry-standard security practices, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

4. Third-Party Services

AllBoards integrates with the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

Google Firebase — authentication, database, and analytics (firebase.google.com/support/privacy).
Apple Sign In — authentication via Apple ID (apple.com/legal/privacy).
Aviation Edge API — real-time and historical flight data (aviation-edge.com).
OpenWeather API — weather data for journey planning (openweathermap.org/appid).
TomTom Traffic API — traffic and routing data for door-to-door estimates (docs.tomtom.com/traffic-api/api-explorer).

No personal data is shared with these data providers. API requests are made server-side or from the app using anonymised identifiers where required.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

With service providers who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
To protect the rights, property, or safety of AllBoards, our users, or the public.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account and associated data.
Opt out of non-essential data processing.

7. Children's Privacy

AllBoards is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

8. Push Notifications

We send push notifications only for flights you explicitly choose to track. You can disable notifications at any time through your device's Settings or within the AllBoards app.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of AllBoards after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

11. No Advertising

AllBoards does not display any advertisements. We do not serve third-party ads, use your personal data for targeted advertising, or share your information with advertising networks. Your data is used solely to provide and improve the AllBoards service.

12. Free Service & No In-App Purchases

AllBoards is entirely free to download and use. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions, premium tiers, or hidden fees of any kind. We do not charge for any feature within the App.

13. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

All flight, weather, and traffic information displayed in AllBoards is sourced from third-party API providers, including Aviation Edge (aviation-edge.com), OpenWeather, and TomTom. While we endeavour to present accurate and up-to-date information, the accuracy of data provided by these third parties may vary and cannot be guaranteed — typical data accuracy may be approximately 90% or less depending on the provider and conditions. We are not responsible for any inaccuracies, omissions, or delays in information originating from these providers, and we accept no liability for any loss or inconvenience caused by reliance on such data.
